What should I do if I haven’t received my gift card?

If your CAREgifts cards do not arrive within seven days of placing your order please contact CARE by emailing info@care.org.au or calling 1800 020 046.

How is my gift delivered to communities CARE works with?

Every CAREgift is an example of an item we use in our poverty-fighting work. Your tax-deductible gifts will go where they are most needed to help families grow healthy food, send their children to school or access lifesaving healthcare and clean water.

Can I ask for a gift to be delivered to a particular place?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Each gift is an example of an item we use to fight poverty and goes to where it’s needed most. Working this way means that the gifts go to the communities where they will make the greatest difference. And don’t worry – we don’t wrap up and send animals or other gifts overseas! We source local items in the countries where we work.

Why are CARE’s prices higher or lower than others I have seen?

CARE prides itself on being one of the most efficient organisations of its type in the world. Price variations occur most often because the cost of supplying an item to one destination is higher or lower than supplying the same item to a different location. CARE sources items in local communities where possible, so local prices and transport costs vary.

What is included in the gift price?

Gift prices include the cost of the gift itself, plus all transport, administration and support costs. Gifts often include training and ongoing support. For example, an animal gift may include veterinary support, or a farming gift may include training in land care and optimum farming techniques.

When will I receive my gift cards?

We endeavour to ensure you receive your gift cards within one week, we will process all orders in a timely manner and lodge them with Australia post as soon as possible. However, electronic cards are immediate and are available throughout the year.

Can the gift cards go directly to the person I am buying for?

We prefer to send the card directly to you, so you can write your own personal message and so the recipient knows who the CAREgifts are from. If you opt for the e-card, this can be sent directly to the person you are purchasing the gift for, or to yourself, whichever you prefer.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes. You will receive a tax deductible receipt for all gifts of more than two dollars. Your receipt will be emailed to you after you place your order online. If you have also ordered e-cards, you will receive these in a separate email shortly after. Your order number is also your receipt number.

Can I simply make a donation?

Simply chose the most valuable gift of all and enter the amount that you wish to donate, then select you card preference.

Can I send my gift cards electronically?

Yes. This not only allows you to create a personalised e-card to send to your family, friends and loved ones; it also saves money and paper so that your gift goes further to help the people who need it most.

Can I get extra copies of the CAREgifts catalogue?

Yes. If you contact CARE Australia we will send you a copy. You can email info@care.org.au or call us on 1800 020 046.

When will my e-card arrive?

You can specify the date that you wish us to send your e-card, if you choose to schedule in the future we will send e-cards at 10am AEST.
